Plain Almond Milk Ingredients 1 cup raw almonds 4 cups water Sweetener to taste (optional) Instructions Soak the almonds in water overnight or for at least 12 hours. Drain and rinse the soaked almonds. Combine the soaked almonds and 4 cups of water in a blender. Blend on high speed for 1-2 minutes until smooth. Strain the mixture using a nut milk bag, cheesecloth, or a fine-mesh strainer into a bowl or pitcher. Press or squeeze to extract as much liquid as possible. Sweeten to taste if desired. Store the almond milk in a sealed container in the refrigerator. Shake well before using.
